I think this is a great movie. I saw a lot of things that I have never seen before. Although this movie doesnt have any dialogues, indeed this is a good movie. This movie can capture any aspects of human being and this world beautifully.
What I like the most from this movie is when this movie shows about the poverty in India. When many people try to find a food from garbage. It moves my heart. Suddenly I feel I am very lucky person, I could enjoy the facilities I have now. I have a warm home, enough food, good education, families adn friends. I have a great life compares to those people. This scene also reminds me about the true story I heard before. There was a gut who traveled to India. Before he traveled to India, he felt that his life is misfortune, he had many difficulties in his job and his marriage then he decided to to travel to India. When he arrived in India he saw many people lives in poverty, but the saddest part is when he saw one mother cutted a right hand of her own child. She cutted it so people who see it can feel sorry for the child and give her money. So the main reason why she cuts her child hand is to get money. It is really sad.. but this is a reality that happens around us. People can do anything to get money

Dear Mom

Hai Mom how have you been?? I believe you are doing ok now..
Actually I have an important thing to tell you with this letter.. Guess what I got an American boyfriend..
I know you will suprise with this news but you are not angry with me right? I know you dislike American boy because you have a bad stereotype to them like playboy, but I can guarantee to you that my boyfriend is totally different from what you think about. He is very honest and he can accept me just the way I am. I admit we have a different culture and sometimes we can misunderstand each other but after we talk we can clear all the misunderstandings. Moreover, from this relationship I can improve my English and he help me a lot with all my homeworks. The most important thing I love him.. I think you want me to be happy right? and I am happy with him.
Hopefully you can meet him someday and see how nice he is

White House has released President Obama's birth certificate. They did this because President Obama's citizenship has been doubted since he becomes the president of the USA. Administration officials said that this matter becomes a distraction that can be harmful for country (par4). Based in this article President Obama asked personally to Hawaii Department of Health to send his birth certificate (par6). Basically releasing the birth certificate is a privacy but they did this to respond a huge requests about Obama's status.

Music : Our favorite therapy

In this article Felton says that music can improve our health. According to Vera Brandes, music can make body and mind relax and then can lower the heart rate (par 10). Felton also claims that music whatever the genres are, can make people become happy and happiness is good for the body. In this article she uses reason appealing because she gave us some reports about how music can improves health.

However, there are some arguments from her that makes me think. She calims that music whatever the genres are, could make us relax. I do not agree with this statement because for me rock music can gives me headache instead of peace. I think is not always true to say that music can always makes us relax.
In the paragraph 23 she also mentions that "A life without music is like a life without soul and passion." (par23). I also do not agree with this statement, there are so many people that do not like music but they still have passion and soul.
I think this article doesnt have a strong argument how music can be a good therapy for health, because she just mentions one reason, music can lower a heart rate.

Kelly and Solomon are assistant professor in marketing field in Virginia Commonwealth University. They tried to analyze how humorous appeal could be effective in television advertisement. With this article I will use it to know how humorous advertisement is more effective than serious advertisement and also I will use it to know how to make humorous advertisement becomes effective to attract people attention.

Research paper

My topic on research paper this time is about humorous advertisement. Basically I very like about television and advertisement things. Therefore for my reseacrh paper I choose about humorous advertisement. In this reseacrh I will try to find out how humorous advertisement could be more effective than serious does. Why many companies more like to use humor for their advertisement. I know little bit about this matter before. In Indonesia most of advertisers use humorous advertisement for their product because they think usually humorous advertisment is more effective than serious does. I really want to know the culture in the USA. Do they think like Indonesian advertisers? Is humorous advertisement more effective in here? I will know latter..

Spring break!!!!

I love spring break!!! finally we will get a srping break in one more week.. I still do not have any plan what I gonna do in spring break but at least I have time to relax without any homework that I should think about... and I can see korean movie as much as I could!! I love korean movie!! or maybe I will go to teather to watch movie, because I do not have chance to watch movie lately.
Since this break just one week I think I will stay at home, relax or go to some places that nearby..
After that maybe I will go to vacation after May, hopefuly at that time I could go back to my country to see all my friends and families, miss them so much!!! 

Animal could talk??

Wow that would be amazing if every animal could talk!! I couldnt imagine if every animal will talk, maybe it will be so noisy because every time I see a cartoon movie that the animal could talk then the animal will talk a lot. Usually they also always complaining about human behavior towards them. How human careless about animal and so on.. However, I will be so glad if my dog could talk. So, I could know what my dog wants. I could tell him about my day and maybe he could gives me an advice if I have a problem. But it is impossible because animal cannot talk and they cannot think..

Advice

Talk about advice. I received a lot of advices when i still in university in Indonesia. I used to have a friend that always gave me advices every times. Sometimes, I also gave her advices if I knew the problem and the best solutions for that. Sometimes, her advices worked for me and sometimes I just followed my heart to solve my problems. However, I always appreciated what she have done for me..
I knew she cares of me that is why she gave me a lot of advices. Miss her so much

American Food

First thing come out in my mind when I heard American food is fast food!! American food is identic with fast food such as burger, french fries, steak (unhealthy food). I remembered when first time I moved to the US I gained 10 pounds because of the american food. In the cafetaria in my dorm I just could found fast food and I eat it everyday. I feel so lucky I could moved to California where I could find any kind of food includes Indonesian food. Indonesian food is so different from American food. We have many kinds healthy food and also delicious. Usually Indonesian food has vegetable in it. So, not only meat that dominated the food like American food.  

Optimistic

I think this quote is true. A pesimistic person will be always give up when they face any difficulty. In the opposite an optimistic person will always have a positive thinking in the difficulty that they have. For the personally, I think I am including in the both side. Sometimes, I could become pesimistic and sometimes I could be an optimistic person. When I get a difficulty in my life and I cannot find any solution then I will be pesimist. I will give up and wait what could happen next. However, sometimes I believe that everything going ok even I face a difficult situation.

Best friends and me

I have 2 best friends that I love so much. Eventhough now I am not in Indonesia but I still can comunicate with them. We became best friend when we got in the same major in the university. Three of us have a same major which is communications science then we have same classes. Until then we always together. There are several differences and contrasts between us. First, we love eat, we always eat together after class finished. We always hang out together to eat in severel places. It was so fun. Second, we love talking. We always talking each other when we met. Wether to discuss about clothes, movies or our problems. However, there are some differences between us. Eventhough we can get along together, sometimes we were fight. It was because we have difference personalities. Therefore sometimes we have a different opinion but we can solved it together. For me, they are my best friends, they not only with me when I had a happy time but they also with me when I had troubles.

I love my car!!

I really love my car. I cannot imagine if I don't have a car and I should take bus from my apartment to campus. It really takes long time. Actually, I never drive before. In my home country usually I ride motorcycle to go anywhere. For me ride motorcycle is more efficient and faster than drive a car. But I cannot ride a big motorcycle like in here. So, my sister decided to buy a car for me so I can go anywhere easily. I feel very grateful she bought a car for me. My car make everything easy, eventhough there are a lot of traffics and complicated signs in the road, but I like drive by myself.

Vitamin C- Graduation

Actually, I like music so much. While I am driving or waiting something, I will take my ipod then listening music. There is one song I like most "Graduation" this is the title for the song. First time I heard this song when I was in bachelor degree in Indonesia. At that time I had a project to make a short movie and my friend added this song to be our theme song for this movie. Beside it has a nice melody I like the lyric in this song. Basically, this song is talk about a friendship that will never end even though they will live separate after they graduate, because they are friend forever. Every time I hear this song it reminds me about my best friends in Indonesia. Even though now I live separate from them but we will be friend forever.

Weather

I think weather in California is little bit strange. For the example is now. In these days the weather is so cold but also it can turn hot in the same day, what a strange weather. However, for me the weather in California is better than in Indianapolis (I used to lived in there before), because Indianapolis is snowy. Since in Indonesia doesn't has snow so I am not use to it. First time I arrived in Indianapolis was around January so I arrived in the coolest time. Before I go to US I think snow is beautiful and I had a plan to make a snowman and playing around in the snow, but after I arrived in US I didn't do it at all. I spent most of my time in the apartment, in front of the heater. I am glad I can moved to California, at least I can feel the same weather as in Indonesia.

Fear

To think about fear I remembered one experience about my fear. I really fear with worm and snake. I don't know why every time I see it I will run away. One day back when I was in University in Indonesia, my major wants to create a game like amazing race but only around my town. Then, I was interesting to join because if I win I would get money. This game was done in three days. The first and the second days me and my partner could did it nicely. However in the las day, we should go to the zoo. Honestly, I had a bad feeling in that time but, show must go on and guest what happen next? My nightmare comes true. I was locked in the small box and from the top they gave me a bunch of worm and my friend need to found the key in the small box with a lot of worms inside the box. I was just crying at that time but I need to do it, I have no choice. I think after that my fear becomes worst. I still don't have way to face my fear. I hope someday I can find some way to overcome my fear.

My resolutions

In this new years I have several plans that I hope could be true. First, I hope I can get to University in this Fall. Come to think about that, it is difficult for International student to get into university class, especially with TOEFL matter. We need to reach a TOEFL minimum score which is for me is so difficult, but I will try my best to get it. Second, I hope in this new years I can do exercise more often. I feel unhealthy in here because I almost never do exercise in here. The last one, I hope I can buy a camera and start to learn about photography.

About Myself

My name is Sylvina, and I am come from Indonesia. I have been in USA for a year. Before I came to California I spent 6 months in Indianapolis. I studied in BallState University. However, for some reasons I decided to move out to California. I am planning to take my master degree in Cal State Fullerton.
In Cal State Fullerton I want to take communication major. Actually, I do not like to talk too much, I can say I am a quite person, but I like to learn how to make a movie. In the other word, I like broadcasting world. That is the reason why I chose communication. I hope someday I can go back to my country with a lot of experiences in the broadcasting world. So, then I can produce my own movie.
